As you know the 'Black Saturday' bushfires caused enormous devastation in various parts of Regional Victoria. Many of the communities nearby were severely impacted and suffered severe losses. Thankfully Trawool and the immediate surrounds were spared thanks to the wonderful efforts of the local and interstate Fire Brigades. We would like to convey our thanks to all of the fire-fighters and support staff during this disaster.
During the month of February many of the NSW Strike teams were based at Trawool Valley Resort. We provided them with a hearty country breakfast and a hot evening meal when they returned each day. Although it was a small contribution we were honoured to accommodate these brave and dedicated men and women.
Since then we have had some good rain and business is slowly getting back to normal. So we would love you to drop in and say hello and have a refreshing drink, a Devonshire Tea or even a meal.

Trawool Valley Resort is nestled at the foot of the majestic Strathbogie Ranges on the Goulburn Valley Highway in the magnificent Trawool Valley, heritage listed for its scenic beauty. The area was made famous by renowned artists Tom Roberts, Frederick McCubbin and Sir Arthur Streeton, all of whom stayed at the Trawool Hotel in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s to capture the beauty of the area on canvas.
We (the Erickson Family) purchased the Trawool Valley Resort in 2004 and since then we have carried out refurbishments in many areas and will continue to do so into the future.
From the first day we arrived our guests would say “We have always wanted to stop and today we did.” The statement was made so often that we now display a banner reading “You always said you’d stop. Why not today?”

Being just 75 minutes from Melbourne CBD makes us a popular venue for lunches, family get togethers and conferences. Why not call in and sample the delights of our Chefs. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is available 7 days. Lunch is served from 12.00 – 2.00pm Mon – Fri, 12.00 – 2.30pm Sat & Sun. Dinner is served from 6.00 – 8.00pm Sun – Thu and 6.00 – 8.30pm Fri & Sat.
